How to get rid of hangover after the a party

We have finally entered into another year, most of us might have partied hard with friends at pubs nearby, sipping on some Black Dog or shots of Smirnoff vodka. There is a hundred percent possibility that many among us might have drunk beyond limits and now have to face the dreadful hangover.

Though the party was hip and much enjoyed, the hangover is something no one would want to go through. For all such exhausted party animals, we give you 5 tips to tame your hangover.

  1. Drink lots of water: Alcohol causes dehydration which is why it is always advised to alternated water and alcohol, for example, if you had a peg of Jack Daniels you must have a glass of water. If you did not do this, your body will lose the essential fluids, resulting in a throbbing headache. Drink as much as water as you can. This not only helps in restoring the water balance but also helps in flushing out the toxins.

  2. Eat a healthy and filling breakfast: Avoid fatty and oily foods, instead eat some healthy vegetables and cereals. The amino acids in eggs help the liver to flush out the toxins, so each scrambled eggs or make some french toast and for lunch eat some hot chicken noodle soup or a burrito, all along do not forget to drink liquids in the form of smoothies or fresh juices.

  3. Sleep the hangover: Sleeping is one of the best ways to go through a hangover, although a headache would not let you sleep, try to relax by taking a hot shower with some essential oils, listen to some soothing music and try to get some shuteye.

  4. Yoga is the cure: Yoga can help your body to loosen up and will improve your blood circulation, which helps in curing the hangover.

  5. Pop a pill: When nothing from the above worked, then as a last resort pop some painkillers. Taking additional medicines must be your last option as you do not want to add load on your already exhausted liver.

Occasional hangover is manageable, but if you get a hangover for prolonged times it is harmful as you might end up being alcohol dependent. So, the best cure for a hangover is responsible drinking.
